We understand the unique challenges international schools face in supporting students learning English as an additional language. At WCEPS, our CARE Coaching program provides customized professional learning and open-enrollment events covering a wide range of topics.

To better support your team, we’re offering a special introductory School Voucher Program exclusively for international schools.

What’s included:

  • Access to our monthly 3-hour virtual open enrollment sessions (June 2026 – June 2027 school year)
  • Register up to 3 teachers per session, every month
  • Covers a wide range of high-impact topics at no additional cost
  • $2,000 per school for the full year
    • This is a savings of over $20,000 for a year of registration

Promoting Autonomy Through Formative Assessment Practices

Educators will learn formative assessment strategies to track progress while developing goals, outcomes, and success indicators that empower students to self-assess, reflect, and be engaged in their learning.

Unlocking Multilingual Potential: Shifting from Monolingual Measures

This workshop highlights how language and culture shape assessment for multilingual learners and educators. Using case studies and discussions, educators gain research-based strategies to align assessments with students’ strengths and move beyond English-only measures.

Building a Collaborative Culture for Student Achievement across the School Community

Participants examine the key elements of a collaborative culture that fosters partnerships among educators, families, administrators, support staff, and outreach services to ensure the success of all students across the school community.

Webb’s DOK in Multilingual Classrooms: Planning for Academic Rigor and Language Development

Efforts to support language development may unintentionally lower the academic rigor of activities. This 3-hour professional learning session explores how Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) can help educators to support multilingual learners’ access to the cognitive complexity of grade-level academic standards while also supporting language development.

Applying the Framework to Instructional Planning 

Participants build on their understanding of the components of an English language development framework, using an instructional planning template with guiding questions. They connect key language uses to culminating tasks and prioritize language functions and features to scaffold instruction.

Enhancing Writing Proficiency through a Literacy Learning Cycle

Participants consider effective supports for long-term Multilingual learners by exploring essential conditions to foster success. Through interactive tasks, participants examine the beliefs, actions, and labels that impact student identity and achievement, and identify strategies to strengthen LTELs’ linguistic repertoires.

A Functional Approach to Language for Mathematical Reasoning

This workshop connects math reasoning with language development. Participants explore concrete-to-abstract strategies, analyze task language demands, and apply scaffolds to support multilingual learners in working through challenging content. Educators will learn to use Key Language Uses (KLUs) and discourse strategies in their math instruction.

Designing Multi-Modal Instruction to Meet the Needs of Learners in a K-12 Setting

Participants explore Universal Design for Learning as a framework to differentiate instruction. This approach utilizes multiple means of representation, expression, and engagement to ensure that all learners access and succeed with grade-level content.

Translanguaging as a Dynamic Language and Pedagogical Practice

Participants explore translanguaging as a practice and pedagogy that affirms multilingual repertoires. Using the Translanguaging Classroom Framework, educators will learn strategies that foster biliteracy, create equity and identity through inclusive design and instruction.

Blueprints for Brilliance: Unit Planning to Integrate Language Development/Proficiency Standards with Content Standards

Educators explore designing content-aligned units, embedding language functions in instruction, and creating discourse-based anchor charts to support multilingual learners’ expressive language across subjects.
