Participants explore effective formative assessment practices that allow teachers to monitor progress. Participants develop learning goals, performance outcomes, and success indicators that empower culturally and linguistically diverse students to engage in self-assessment.

After this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Clarify learning expectations for both content and language
  • Design meaning-making tasks that support both content learning and academic language development
  • Provide constructive feedback that fosters student agency

  • Participants can earn one graduate credit by participating in two 3.5-hour webinars (7 hours total), 7 hours of independent work, and 1 hour of follow-up.
