VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
Overview
This workshop equips educators with practical strategies to support newcomers in academic classrooms.
Participants will:
- Explore elements of effective scaffolding
- Learn to make grade-level content accessible
- Develop tailored language supports
- Leverage students’ strengths, interests and preferences
Through collaborative activities and real-world scenarios, participants will design scaffolded lessons that integrate content and language learning while fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for newcomer
CURRENT VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
- July 22 & 29: 1:00-4:30 pm CT
GRADUATE CREDIT
- Participants can earn one graduate credit by participating in two 3.5-hour webinars (7 hours total), 7 hours of independent work, and 1 hour of follow-up.
COST
- With Credit: $450
- Without Credit: $400
IN-PERSON WORKSHOPS
