CARE Coaching International, offered through the Wisconsin Center for Education Products and Services (WCEPS), equips international educators and school leaders with strategies to foster equitable educational opportunities for multilingual learners. Through a systematic, outcomes-based approach, the program offers sessions that promote instructional excellence and collaboration across educational communities.
Key offerings include “Planning Multimodal Instruction with Universal Design for Learning,” which emphasizes differentiated instruction through multiple means of engagement and expression, and “Building a Collaborative Culture to Foster Multilingual Learner Success,” which helps educators and leaders create environments where multilingual learners thrive. All sessions are available in virtual, in-person, or half-day formats, and include reflection and feedback time with expert CARE Coaches.
CARE Coaching International provides schools with powerful tools and professional learning to enhance instructional design and planning for multilingual learners. Learning Walk Tools are customized to align with school initiatives and provide teams with actionable feedback through observation, reflection, and leadership debriefs. In addition, CARE Coaches offer targeted support to help educators understand and apply language proficiency assessment data. Through guided professional learning and coaching, participants use rubrics to identify linguistic scaffolds and integrate them into lesson planning ensuring instruction is both accessible and rigorous for all language learners.
