Two-Day CARE Coaching Event - Seattle, WA

Join us for a full-day, interactive workshop with Sara Christopherson, Director of WebbAlign at WCEPS, that provides K-12 educators with hands-on experience in applying Webb’s DOK framework, a powerful tool to promote coherence within classrooms, schools, and districts. Together we will explore high-leverage uses of the tool and consider practical steps for implementation.

Participants will:

  • Differentiate DOK levels, addressing common misconceptions.
  • Apply the DOK framework to curriculum, instruction, and assessment contexts.
  • Develop an action plan for implementation or improvement.

Educators will leave this workshop equipped with tools and strategies to strengthen and enhance their practice.

  • Classroom assessment is a process, not an event.
  • Classroom assessment must be inclusive of multiple languages/audiences (stepping out of our comfort zone to learn & grow).
  • Translanguaging, multimodalities, and multiliteracies enhance instruction and assessment.
